I had 2537 wins in a row at fighter practice. I have done the math, and this qualifies me for my 115th Order of the Warrior. I killed every tree in the park at least 25 times, and sparred with some of the Hispanic volleyball players who don't speak English. It was 3 hours of really good fighting. Because of my new heightened status as an Amtgard fighter, I would like more meat to show up to Fighter Practice. That way, I can practice my skills on targets that don't take 20 minutes to explain the rules to, and are not made of wood. As such, if you do not typically show up to fighter practice, and are willing to make the commitment to coming out, I will give you *FREE* equipment. If you are in need of an extra sword or two, now is the perfect chance to come to fighter practice. I'll even make flails if you want them. |

The Duchess asked me to post about the Banner Contest that PV is having. You may ask why you haven't heard about it well that is because I'm just posting about it now, duh. The contest will be held at midreign, with voting on the best banners done by the populous, and probably once at the park and then another vote will be able to be cast at the feast. So you can double your influence if you attend both. There will be several categories for the banners. I'm not sure what they'll be but it'll be something like best design, best construction, best use of materials that kind of thing. And then prizes will be awarded to the winners at the midreign feast (probably). If you're wondering what banners are well you need to read more books. But basically the banners that we are looking for are fabric that have ones device on them or one for the Duchy or for what ever really we just want banners! here is a sample image to give you an idea if you are still lost So make a banner, get it done by midreign and win some bad ass prizes, and they are so bad ass I can't even post what the prizes are. |

I'm in Albuquerque this weekend for Amtgard stuff. Wanted to come in for A&S and Fighter Practice but ended up being delayed by the local (Cuba) DMV shortening their hours and then Columbus Day. Stupid Columbus. At least I'll get to stab people on Saturday, and I do plan on stabbin'.
In other news the workshop is all set other than building a bench. I did find an old metal covered table that will work for a workbench top. It's a bit deeper and shorter than I wanted, but it should work fine. Found a small and tall table that I can use for bolting tools down to so it can take up the extra space that I'll have from having a shorter bench.
